Hometown Holidays is Spring Hill's annual Christmas festival, held the first Saturday in December. Each year in the spirit of the holiday season, the City of Spring Hill, the Spring Hill Recreation Commission, local organizations and businesses come together to organize this free celebration open to anyone who would like to attend. Hometown Holidays 2014 will take place December 6 from 6 to 8 p.m.

Last year, Hometown Holidays moved from its longtime home at the Spring Hill Civic Center to downtown Main Street. The move brought the event a charming historic setting and highlighted the growing speciality businesses of the downtown area. Many of these businesses join in on the fun by offering treats, activities and open houses the night of the event.

While we try to organize a fun variety of events each year, you can always look forward to two Hometown Holidays traditions. The evening starts off with the lighting of the Mayor's Christmas Tree - a spectacular evergreen that towers over the Spring Hill Police Station. Once the tree is lit, Santa Claus will arrive by fire truck, then settle in for an evening of pictures with the kids.
